Another FIREBREATHmedia veteran, Matthew Fowler, was back for his 2nd show with us!
Check out our good friend Reggie Williams for his third (!!!!) show with us. It gets better every time.
"Yes, Kennary is pronounced like the bird. Four years after picking up her first guitar at the age of 10, Hadley Kennary started writing music when she was 14. Now 21, she has released a self-titled EP and a full-length album, and she has dedicated her time to studying music at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Her sound is refreshing and real. Her music mixes the honesty of Sara Bareilles with the mellow cleverness of Ingrid Michaelson, finished off with defining harmonies similar to the Indigo Girls. Each song is a unique experience that stays true to her acoustic roots and vocal integrity. She is inspired by everything and everyone around her. She has graced stages around the country like The Bitter End in New York City, Uncommon Ground in Chicago, and Club Passim in Cambridge as well as festivals like Bucktown Garden Fest in Chicago and Boston Book Festival 2013 in Copley Square. Hadley shows promise to continue growing as a musician and person in the coming years as she attends Berklee."
Check out video footage of Orlando based Singer/Song-writer, Matthew Fowler, from the June 22nd House Show!
"At 19 years old, Fowler shows the same mastery of earnest, strummy songcraft as established artists like Damien Rice and Ben Howard." - American Songwriter Magazine
"Born and raised in Detroit, Kirabelle is a singer / songwriter, living and loving in Nashville, eternally chasing truth and expression through the medium that connects us all... music. Her fondness for sampling old songs from the Great American Songbook along with folk favorites and unique arrangments is evident in her style. "These songs should never be forgotten. I strive to keep them alive in my music." Kirabelle infuses her own compositions with elements of folk and jazz utilizing a variety of instruments - ukulele, banjolele, guitar, cello, fiddle, piano, melodica, mandolin, and autoharp. "It is my great hope to inspire others to research and recognize the glorious treasures left by those who've come before us, tip our hats, pay tribute, and continue on, re-inventing the musical 'wheel.'"

The headliner for the 5/30 House Show, Nashville based singer-songwriter, Rae Hering!
"Although Rae Hering (The Shy Gemini) calls her music Alternative Pop she remains to be a genre enigma. With her sophisticated melodic sense and eclectic songwriting style, this multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter creates intelligent music that ranges from playful to melancholy to funky.
Since graduating from Belmont University with studies in piano and composition, Rae Hering has been entertaining audiences with her proficient piano-playing, sultry vocals and captivating stage presence. With her debut EP "Reality Over My Head" under her belt, Rae Hering is currently working on her new EP entitled "The Shy Gemini Sessions." Rae shares the story behind these songs and others in her blog of a similar name, "Adventures of the Shy Gemini."
Beyond being a vocalist and piano player, she also plays guitar and accordion. Her skills are put to use in the recording studio as well as live performances, whether she’s playing her original material or commissioned work for producers. When she's not in the studio or performing, she's teaching music lessons.
As an adaptable composer, Rae Hering writes and records music for commercial spots including the Singer Sewing Company, for short films such as 2011 Nashville 48 Hour Film Festival submission, "without," and for non-profits such as the campaign song "Ask Them Why" for the Child Advocacy Center. As an active co-writer, she has applied skills unbarred by genre.
Whether performing an intimate solo set or a full-blown six-piece band extravaganza, Rae Hering will hold you captive with her dynamic, straight-from-the-soul artistry."
FIREBREATHrecords Live House Concert performance by Nashville based cellist, Joshua Dent.
"Joshua Dent remembers vividly the exact moment he fell in love with music. The defining event "happened on January 17th of 2006; I was listening to the Jacqueline du Pre recording of the Dvorak cello concerto for the first time and whilst listening to the second movement's quasi cadenza, I knew right then that I had to play music for the rest of my life."
Born in West Virginia and raised in sunny Kissimmee, Florida, Joshua fostered a deep love for music and a mature taste. Joshua picked up the cello at 14 years-old and has not put it down since. In 2006 he started taking formal lessons under Barbara George, and was inducted into the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra's Symphonic Orchestra.
It was during high school that Joshua met close friend and long time collaborator, Logan Castro. Later, the two enrolled in Florida State University's College of Music, where Joshua majored in Music Performance. In his time at FSU, Joshua studied under renowned cellist, Gregory Sauer (award winning cellist, performed with Hudson Valley Philharmonic, the Houston Symphony, the Quad City Symphony, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, and the Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra). Joshua played in many different ensembles, most notably FSU's Baroque Ensemble, FSU's University Philharmonic Orchestra, and the University Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with Disney's Encore! Cast Choir and Orchestra for three consecutive years.
Joshua plays and records with numerous artists and bands alike around the greater Nashville area. Joshua is also an educator in improvisation and regularly gives private lessons and master classes.
It is Joshua's natural sensitivity to the intent of a piece that moves listeners to their core, a talent that can take years for others to accomplish. Joshua has mastered the art of emotive interpretation with an ear for improvisation, arrangement, and timing. His love of music in all forms allows him to transcend genre and beautifully realize all styles."
FIREBREATHmedia is proud to present more footage from the 5/30 House Show featuring Natalie Lurie!
"Natalie Lurie is a classically-trained harpist and singer/songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Drawing influences from artists such as Eva Cassidy, Norah Jones, Nina Simone, Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin, she fuses Blues, Americana, Country, Jazz, and Pop, creating a new musical style on her instrument. She has been playing the harp for seventeen years and most recently released her debut album “Ebb & Flow,” which was recorded at the legendary FAME Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The album displays both her virtuosity as a harpist and versatility as a singer/songwriter."

It is with our utmost pleasure that we present footage from our May 30th House Show. Our first release from that incredible night comes from Nashville based, extended bass virtuoso Scott Fernandez. Enjoy!
"Bass = Music = Life.
Scott Fernandez is an artist that has chosen to use the bass to create his art. There is no other instrument that sings with the same timber or paints with the same brush, so after starting on the Upright bass about 11 years ago, Scott switched over to the Electric all without ever taking a lesson, yet has become a world-class bass virtuoso in a remarkably short period of time. His dedication to his art form is awe-inspiring, practicing over 3 hours per day, and gigging several times a week around Nashville, Scott is set to venture out and share his talents with the entire world.
While his music will continue to be difficult to classify, Scott remains steadfast to the theory that if you write music that means a lot to you and put it in a format that people can understand than people from all across the world will enjoy it. This is holding true with hundreds of thousands views on his YouTube videos to prove it. Demonstrating a remarkable proficiency in a wide variety of styles and techniques, Scott brings the magic to whatever instrument he picks up, from the traditional 4-string the to his 12-string behemoth that is sure to draw your attention.
In addition to Facebook and YouTube, you can also find Scott at BandHappy, where he is an instructor."
Videos from the 4/27 show featuring performances by the San Francisco based guitar duo, Duo Tandem.
"From the San Francisco Bay Area to the Midwest and even on Cypriot National Television, Duo Tandem performances have been lauded as “magical” and praised for their “beautiful articulations, rhythm, and timing”. Duo Tandem was formed while Mark and Necati studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Marc Teicholz. Originally brought together by a shared passion for the music of Astor Piazzolla, their repertoire has since expanded to include music by Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Gottlieb, and Ferris as well as arrangements of Gnattali, Chopin, and Le Six. Influenced greatly by the Assad Brothers Duo, they have had the pleasure of working with both Sergio and Odair Assad on some of Sergio’s own arrangements. Now, playing together for just over one year, the duo has already completed their first tour."
